The Kenyan coast is an ideal getaway because Mombasa is one of the top travel destinations in East Africa. The city’s tourism activities date back to the 14th century when people like Ibn Battuta and Vasco Da Gama visited the small commercial center that was Mombasa. Welcome to Wecam Safaris Mombasa Getaway. Arrive the hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing in the room, poolside, and on the beach. The journey to Mombasa offers travelers with one of the most exciting road safaris. Although it can be long and tiring, the safari is made interesting by various scenarios you will come across along the way. From the start to the end there is always something to keep your eyes busy. Along the highway, you get to come across Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Parks. The vast parks are situated in the East and West sides of Nairobi-Mombasa Highway and at times travelers when lucky can get to see the animals strolling in the game parks. Along the way, you will also have several stopovers if time allows preferably at Mtito Andei for some refreshments.
We begin our day with breakfast offered at the resort. In the morning hours you can spend your time enjoying the pool water aerobics and in the midday take a boat ride to Mombasa Marine Park. Mombasa Marine National Park is the most famous of the marine protected areas due to ease of accessibility and because its a favorite among Mombasa snorkelers and scuba divers due to its abundant marine life, beautiful blue waters, and spectacular coral reefs. After the day’s activities in the cool Mombasa Marine park you can decide to relax in your room, poolside, at the beach in the evening or maybe even have a night out dancing after dinner.
After breakfast, you have the option to spend the rest of the day enjoying the hotel or going out for a nature walk to see wildlife at Haller Park followed by Mombasa city tour and Fort Jesus discovery. Haller Park is a nature park in Bamburi, Mombasa, on the Kenyan coast. It is the transformation of a quarry wasteland into an ecological area. Haller Park holds a variety of plant and animal species which serve as a recreation spot for tourists and locals. Up to March 2007 it held the attraction of Owen and Mzee – the friendship of a hippopotamus and a tortoise.
If you have children, this is a must visit for them to have ultimate fun during their holiday. Mamba Village, East Africa’s largest crocodile farm, is a must-see during your exploratory beach vacation in Mombasa, especially if you have not seen any crocodiles on safari. Each section of the estate offers a unique experience, and the most popular is the crocodile farm where these aquatic reptiles are displayed. For couples you may spend the day in the hotel or go for shopping and movies at nyali cinemax.
After breakfast enjoys the hotel facilities until the time to check out. Checking out time will be communicated to you. The resort may charge an extra cost for extra time spent. However, if you would wish to have an extra stay you may always request so that we can make arrangements. Upon checking out you may choose to travel back to Nairobi by road or air. Upon arriving at Nairobi, that will mark the end of our five-day Mombasa safari. We hope you will have had a nice safari.
